Tampa Florida Fishing??

Hey guys, not sure where to ask this, but anyone have any experience fishing the Tampa Florida area? Going there for a mini vaca and was thinking of jumping on a boat one or two days. Thanks!

Don't know about boat fishing but I have fished the skyway pier. Caught some nice size Spanish macs flounder and sea trout on light tackle.Attachment 68136

If you are headed there this month or next charter a boat and do some Tarpon fishing.... Should be getting good there right about now.

Landed my first Tarpon ever in Tampa. My buddy was snapping pictures the whole fight and landing... This was back in the day and he had no film in his camera :)

Here's a link to charter captains. I know someone who fished on reel therapy and did well. I have fished the Skyway bridge accesses. Good luck! I also know of captains in Sarasota if you want to go a little further south and fish outside in the Gulf....
