OK day on the Musconetcong river 4/12:
 

Helped with the clean up on the Musky today, went right down to Hughesville, the big long pool. I got a nice brookie and a small rainbow outta that spot and then picked up some trash. Loads of people fishing today, no less than 10 cars at the spot at any given time, everything from dry flies to power cheese was being tossed into the water. An old timer there soaking power cheese and had 4 rainbows on his stringer.
Headed to Asbury to say hi to the folks over at the watershed association and along the way I stopped by where Rt. 78 goes over the Musky. I pulled in there and the cops were there. One of the clean up crews called to report 7 dead puppies and a few bags of deer guts were dumped there.
Made my way over to Asbury where they were giving away free hot dogs so I put the mow down on a few tube steaks and fished by the graphite mill where I got a small brown, a small rainbow, and rolled a nice rainbow.
Headed back to slow water under Rt. 78 and didn't find any love and almost stepped on one of those nesting geese, they hiss pretty loud when you get close.
So all in all a good day, and NICE weather.

Awesome job Andy!!! A big thumbs up to all you do to improve our states fisheries....You are definitely one of the more environmentally involved anglers on this site and any fishing site for that matter...I have a gr8 deal of respect for you and your commitment to our fisheries....

Sounds like a nice day Andy. Watch out for the geese. Some day I will tell you a about the bad incident I had with a goose many years ago.
Keep up the good work cleaning up the streams.
