Raritan river net pull 4/11/14:

Pulled the 300 ft. net with the Rutgers kids today looking to PIT tag river herring and shad.. Pulled the net twice on one side and once on the other.
3 pulls got us a dead baby squirrel and THAT WAS IT. Can some one tell me where all the fish went ? That area was stocked recently with trout also.
Nothing in the fyke net either. This is all in the name of science, kids don't try this at home.

Nothing? Odd. My guess is suckers are in tribs and riffles spawning; smallies & panfish are still holding deep; Trout moved up or down more likely up if their rainbows. River looks fairly wide & high there so fish could really be spread out & thin.
