Hey guys little late on my report. Took my son out thursday eve to show him the valley and he was itchibg to catch a fish and once again..no dice. The real kicker is that two guys next to me showed up and caught a nice one right away congrats to them. Ill get mine soon. Was awesome bein out there with my boy fish or no fish. Good luck guys opening day tight lines

yeah, the valley from shore can be a tough nut to crack sometimes. at least you got out there with the kid.

i dunno if you tried, but one thing to maybe keep in mind for the little guy if the fish aren't biting on the main lake... the swimming lake is usually quite a bit warmer and has loads of panfish and little bass that will readily hit whatever you throw at them. no trout in there, but it's good for wiping the skunk off if the action is slow on the big water.

Hope to splash the boat up there soon, they stocked some big trout up there. Get 'em next time, a great place to go fishing.
