venice beach fl

Down in Venice fl visiting. Wanna do some surf and jetti fishing . Any recommendations? Snook fishing just opened. Anything on the beach? What bait to use. Any knowledge wood be helpful and appreciated.

The inlet in Venice has some good fishing, get some shrimp for bait. I've used the DOA shrimp (rootbeer color) with some success there as well. Good luck.

When I was down there 15 years ago there was a nice fishing pier that cost a dollar to get on back then. Don't remember how to get there but you can ask a local.

i recall fishing off of a pretty good fishing pier while down in Venice in DEC

The inlet in Venice has currently good fishing circumstances. The all you need to do is to go there with DOA shrimps and flies and you'll definitely get your right shoot! :)
