Party boat angler thursday report
 

Our buddy stopped by and he had a load of nice monk fish from the 30 to 40 mile grounds. I'm getting ready to have some for dinner.


Joey and I spent a good part of the day working on the boat in hopes of sailing again next week. The weather looks pretty good for tomorrow but I do not care to push through a couple of miles of ice in Sandy Hook Bay and will wait for this weekends thaw. I am sure the ice will be gone with Saturdays rain and Southerly blow. I would not expect to catch much Sunday if it blows as had as they say from the South on Saturday. In the past I have seen very good fishing after ice in the harbor but I will wait for the right day.

Monday looks good. I'll probably be down and try for a few more backfish. That's a 7:30 day?
