Monday on the Mimi, my last for 2013
 

Went for the last trip of 2013 tog gin on the Mimi. A light crowd of 14 total left the dock around seven. Headed a little south. Fished the pointy end in the wind while many stated comfortable in the stern. Day started off with a slow pick, 15 inch keeper, two shorts, then a nice 4 lb fish. Next drop put another in the box along with a throwback and a few pesky bergals then after a wiggle got the fifth in the box. One other guy up front (Jay the tog slayer) was doing about the same but most of the boat was slow. Captain Kenny threw a nice 8 liber on the deck. In the afternoon a Mimi bite got going on the starboard and someone got a sweet fish which looked to be around 8 as well. Looking for my limit I went with a nice white legger on a sticky little spot and bam, thump thump thump, nailed a 12lb 3oz fish my personal best. Most of the boat didn't fair as well but I did see a guy almost get a bite :)

Great day for me, a little windburned but I have our New Years Eve diner now, and then some!

Congrats on your personal best. That was nice fish. I had a great day again on MiMi. A little wind burned today and soaking rain from yesterday trip.

Nice to have fished with you Reef, I weighed that beast of a fish for you. That thing was HUGE!:eek: Biggest I've ever witnessed being caught, can't imagine what a 15 or 20 looks like!:eek:

Congrats on the Personal best. Sometimes staying away from crowd in the back and doing your own thing is the way to go
