S/b 11/30/13
 

Hit the South Branch below the Gorge yesterday for a slow pick. It was pretty cold when I first started. Ice on my guides. Threw a variety of stuff all day and managed 4 fish on slowly retrieved and dropped back eggs. Very strange bite... Rolled a few too. All fish were nice wild/holdover browns. 3 of the 4 were decent fish and the last was a 8-9"er. Here's pics of the first 3. Didnt snap one of the smaller fish--wasnt getting my phone out while I was wading. Catch em' up!

Sweet catch. Fishing should be really good this week!!! It's Trout time in NJ!!! Let's get some!

Wilson and I went back to all those spots below there and stunk it up good. Got my work out for the day ;)

Did you guys try all the pocket water below the falls? That's prime Brown water there. Unfortunately that stretch changed a lot after IRENE! Bitch ruined the whole stretch. Many Browns have come out of there in the past.

thanks guys... def had to work to get a few. Might focus on the Musky next... I seem to do best there. Lots of water that I have yet to explore too. Makes for a good day of getting lost on the river!

Andy, sucks it didnt come together for you guys--esp that one spot that really produced for us. There was some nice brookies in that hole.

As Eddie said, it's def trout time in NJ!

The falls in the 3rd pic? I fished them briefly. With the wind and mist coming off the falls, I started to ice-over on my sleeves and sunglasses lol... So I bailed and kept going downstream. Some nice water there though for sure. It was only the 2nd time I hit that spot since the construction has been completed.
