Musky 11/8/13

Hit the river yesterday morning. Fishing was a slow pick. Got 3 bows and 4 browns. 3 of the 4 browns looked wild. Elaborate colors, perfect fins...very cool. One of them was nice sized too--and had another hook/line sticking outta it's maw. I clipped the tag end as deep and safely as I could and she swam off. One of the bows was FAT... pushing 2+ lbs. The larger fish of the day smashed black jigs. The smaller fish took CD3s and eggs. Leaves were hit or miss in some areas. Def fishable though. I saw some really nice brookies but none would commit. Even so, it was a really nice day out on the water. Below are a few pics. I didnt snap one of the large bow--it wriggled free as I was getting my phone out.

Nice fish !

Saw one other guy and he left shortly after I arrived at a spot about 250 yards down stream of him. Didnt see him catch anything. When I moved up shortly after he left, I pulled three fish out of the hole he was working. :D

Ya know, you're right Flatcreek. I should know better considering I've been skunked out there--especially this time of year!

On a side note, looked at the Pohat and Pequest, too. Terribly low water conditions. That spat of rain we got Thurs night into Friday didnt do a damn thing! These fish need more water!
