Where do go for striper
Hey all,
My buddy and I are pretty much done this year as far as inland freshwater fishing. I heard the striper bite is really on this time of year. I was curious as to how far upstream these fish are coming and what would be the best sport for them? He was suggesting Sandy Hook/Raritan bay area but if they are coming upstream is that too far out? Thanks in advance for the help !! |
Re: Where do go for striper
They are literally everywhere now, upriver, downriver, bay, ocean.

Re: Where do go for striper
easy way is to jump on a party boat or charter and hit raritan bay/hook area. if you wanna try yourself pick a river and hit it, they are scattered all around, its a right place right time sort of thing. stripers make their way many miles, for instance they are caught up past delaware water gap and those fish swam all the way up from barnegate bay, thats prob 100 miles thru the big D.

How about trying some landlocked striper fishing in pennsylvania.......I don't know where ya live but there are a few southeast pa lakes that are stocked yearly.

Re: Where do go for striper
Why not plug the beach? They are up and the beach, just walk and cast till you find them.

Catfish anglers occasionally catch stripers at night up there, too. I no longer fish at night up there because of all the bears prowling around in the dark. . |
