Party Boat Angler Saturday Report

I was afraid that yesterdays blow would kill the bottom fishing and although there was a pretty good sized swell the sea bass were biting. No problem getting bites but the short sea bass made it tough to catch keepers. I had guys tell me they had 80 to 90 bass but only 8 or 10 that stayed on board. I did notice that more keepers were caught on crabs and bergall strips than clams.

There were some keeper tog and trigger fish as well as porgies but for the most part when you caught a fish it was a sea bass. Jose Reyes took the pool with a tog.

The strangest thing we caught was a 40 lb Atlantic torpedo ray which we released as it is capable of producing 240 volts of electricity. We were lucky that Jose had caught one before and warned use to keep clear. Check out the picture.

SAILING AT 7:30 TOMORROW. SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK AND GET AN EXTRA HOURS SLEEP.

NO GALLEY THANKS CAPTAIN GEORGE
