Rockaway river /lake hapatkong no love!
 

Well did a little exploring to some new turf last night fished the rockaway river lookin for the elusive trout species, water was extremley low but i gaveit a go anyways fished evrey where i could work my lures evrey seam,riffle or pool lol no love i went up and downstream. Finally after walkin upstream in between two stockin points came to a nice hole deep little current thinkin to myself oboy oboy! This is it kapowwwyy! NOPE!!!!!!! Lol did come across a cool beaver dam though but that was it ran over to barnes bros to check the lake out all choked up with weeds and so low all i could do is sit there and think few more months ice ice baby ! well i plan to do some more exploring up there this week and next though get em next time!!http://i1300.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1820868a.jpg

Nice pic. I'm always impressed by beaver dams.
Thos little buggers put in a lot of work.

I hear ya the water is low in a lot of rivers right now man, hard catching. I was at the black river the other day and also fishing every good looking pool, riffle, seam etc. for a few hours with only 1 trout to show for it. But I was happy as hell that I at least got that one! One less cast into that pool and I would have left skunked too
