Heavy metal =Big Bass
 

Yesterday the wind out of the south and tide pushed us at 1.8 -2.0kts.!The bass were on sand ells and you had to be on the bottom.Heavy hammered jigs slow retrieve was the ticket.Don't be afraid to bring jigs as heavy as 10 oz or bigger.
There is even a larger body of bass working there way towrard us and with the predicted NW wind we might be in for a tremendous fall run.There are some Trophy size bass being landed every day.Bring the proper equipment to handle these brutes!
Raritan Bay has some great bunker chunking going on.We are sailing out of the Highlands so it can be Ocean or back bay.Get um while there hot.Should be a good tournament this weekend.I expect some big numbers for the winner of the Hi-Mar 40hr tourney for bass.:)
