.

They recovered his body.

They described the boat as a "very small plastic boat". I wonder if it was one of those ridiculous Coleman Crawdads I occasionally see out on the water.

Was reported the guy was in his eighties, never know may have been boating accident but may also have been something like a heart attack. My best friend lost his father in law on the raritan a long time ago.He was in a small boat and he did have a heart attack and died on the water. Anything can happen at any time but you need to have an enourmous amount of respect for the water because it does not forgive,

Guys, be careful at the Meet and Greet on Sunday....we were out on Hopatcong yesterday and it was Windy City like Chicago......this is just a tragic way to finish the season .....

He was not wearing a life preserver, according to Lt. Stephen Jones of the New Jersey State Police.
unfortunately, this is a common attribute of these fatal on-the water accidents :/

It probably had to do more with the fact that he's 80 and not the plastic boat. I fish from a Coleman crawdad and the thing is stable as can be and wouldn't want anything else
