What section of the river?...Up in Wayne area, it is very low, but very fishable....Are you gonna go on the water or from shore?.....

Haven't decided yet. Last time we launched in little falls and went upstream into the meadows. Time before that we launched at eagle rock and tried to make it to Bloomfield ave but there was a big tree in the river. Not sure if we want to hit one of those ramps or find a new one. Where are some other decent ramps?

Lincoln park.......take Rt. 23 North to Rt. 202(about a mile or so once you get on Rt. 23N)..get off exit and make left and follow road past the Grasshopper and over bridge..go over bridge by sushi place and ramp parking is on the right ....you can prob. go downstream from there....

Still at summertime levels, very fishable. Just watch for boulders.

I did that stretch, but the water was way low and thick with weeds at the confluence with the Passaic, had to get out and pull the boat through until we got upstream to the meadows.

BTW, as you are going down the Pompton, when you get to the island with the houses on it, stay to the right.

The river was on fire the other day. Lost track of how many pike were landed. Missed just as many and including a couple MONSTERS. Most in the 25-35 inch range. Water was low and clear
