South Branch float 9/8/13:
3 Attachment(s)
Put in at 3 Bridges, Neshanic, floated to where the North and South Branch meet. Could have sworn it was an 8 hour float, I was done in 4 and a half. Some REALLY deep holes in that stretch. Enough smallies to keep it interesting, nothing really worthy of a photo, but some healthy ones. Did get one channel cat where the N&S Branch meet, biggest fish of the day. Great scenery.
Saw 2 other canoes, chatted as we passed. Of course I was on the lookout for tires, counted 36, that is down from the 536 that were in there before, 10 of the tires were right at the N&S confluence. I will be in touch with the gang and I'll tell them when they are ready I am ready to go get 'em !! Water looked great, the North Branch was gin clear, I highly recommend this float. |

Some great looking water there! What a great weekend to be on the water. Weather has been perfect.

Great weather, I'm finally coming out of the AC, July and August are slow fishin' days for me. I'm ready for some false albacore and bonito now. :D
The trees are already starting to unload, you may not see in in your own back yard but you sure as heck see it when you float through the woods. |

Quite a few leaves on the water today on the big D in the Phillipsburg area today. Trees turning color as well.
Lots of hungry SMB and Channel cats as well, all on live shiners. My best day so far this year:cool: Now is the time to fish hard. |
