Amazing day passaic river
 

Amazing day on the passaic river. Me my brother and buddy I work with went right after work around 4 to 8:30 caught well over 40 smallmouth bass. Biggest one was probably around 16 inches or more. Great fighting fish!! Finally caught a nice fish too. Missed a nice one and caught 2 fish probably over 13 inches so I was happy! Plus I just got my fish finder installed today so tried it out I think I learned alittle today it was pretty cool.

That's a banner day for sure....Especially since it wasn't even a full day. I'll bet this little shot of cool weather turned them on. Congrats on the PB....wait till you get one over 20" ....pure beasts them smallies.

good job on the river smallies. A bit of advice on ur fishfinder, I can see ur in flasher mode in the one pic, which is a great way to use it when u are perfectly still anchored up or on a glass lake w no wind/current. in a moving boat, even slightly, go to the view that is regular 2D sonar and use ur options to show the RTS window in either wide or medium mode, much better for learning to use it. RTS stands for real time sonar and its the same as the round flasher only displayed vertically, it will be a bar on the right, then to the left is the rest of the 2D sonar and its history, will give u a good idea of what u saw plus u see exactly what just got marked and a picture laid out of the bottom. Keep ur screen scroll speed up high, like 7-8, and if your drifting go to 9 or max, gives u the best detail and fastest ping returns

Thanks guys gonna try it again maybe around 6:30 and jimmythegreek while I was fishing I was 2-D but right before I caught that fish I was playing around with it and when I got to flasher the fish hit so I didn't have time to change it lol I love using my flasher on ice fishing though its a great piece of electronic.
