Farrington 8/11/13 -- PM trip
 

Managed to wiggle away from the noise of an all day home hunt and hit Farrington from 4-8ish. Met up with my buddy Steve by the lake.

Started with senkos, then spinnerbaits, then frogs and mice. Steve nailed a small bass (senko) and a dart (spinnerbait) in the first half of the outing. As we trudged on, I kept throwing the spinnerbait and he switched to a frog. He was about 10-15 yards from me flingin' the frog into thick pads and I was working the the outside edge. I was watching his frog chug and pop thru the bevy of greens when it got crushed. Sounded like a someone threw a bowling ball in the water lol. A second later, as I wasnt paying attention, my spinnerbait got pummeled from a larry booming outta the pad cover. Two on! Held the fish side by side--I lost. His fish was pretty solid. I'd say safe bet of 2.5-3 lbs.

I switched to the live target mouse after that. Lil' f'er has some serious action on it when you steadily retrieve and twitch. That tail is something else! Had one slurp-n-burp on it that i didnt come tight on.

Top water frog....no funner way to get'em than that. Those things are addictive for sure. Nice job.

I love fishing the Farrington pads! PB LMB in NJ there...usually quality not quantity

It went well. Found a place (thank god). The lady gave the thumbs up finally. How'd you make out Sunday?
