SEA HORSE 7/5 Ling Report
9 Attachment(s)
We ran our first ling trip yesterday and the fares onboard ended up putting a solid catch together. I made the first couple of drops in 130' foot of water and the fish were biting but the conger eels were unbearable. So after weeding through the eels and picking some fish along with a couple of nice whiting we went off to the deeper water. The next couple of wrecks produced a nice catch of ling up to 4lbs. High hook ended up with 25 fish. John Cambell won the pool with a 4lb ling.

Re: SEA HORSE 7/5 Ling Report
GREAT to hear about some whiting back.
FUNNY seeing a whiting & ling trip with anglers wearing shorts and tank tops. Not usually a summer target. |

Re: SEA HORSE 7/5 Ling Report
nice job Jack.
It's bizarre seeing whiting during the summer -- I hope the motherlode returns in November... Seems like every year the last few there's been a few more showing up so maybe, just maybe we might see a comeback! |
