Penn Battle 2K or 3K. Cannot beat the bang for the buck. Great drag.

x2 on battle. have the 4000 with 20lb braid for casting bucktails in shallow water and for fall bass too.

x3 on the Penn Battle for the money. I prefer the 4000 for bucktailing if you are going to go into the 2-4 oz range. I have mine loaded with 20 lb braid and it serves as a mahi reel for pot hopping as well.

Daiwa BG 13 or 15. Tough as nails and should be @$100-110.
