Fly Jerk Machines?...video

I saw two boats with these at MC the other morning. From what I could see the fishing was just as slow for me as it was for them. I was trolling plugs and spoons while jigging bucktails by hand. I did manage a legal brown along with some stockers.

As for those machines. I see a crowded reservoirs full of boats pulling extreme lengths of copper wire getting in each others way. Effective or not, at what point does it become overkill? Thoughts?

These are quite popular for fishing salmon after ice out. I saw them on lake winnepesaukee NH 20 years ago, mostly homemade back then.

the thing is noisier than my 20 yr old rusted out oarlocks--think it would get annoying after a while

LOL, that is a sound effect I added to the video. I don't know if they are absolutely silent, but I'm thinking any type of machinery is going to make noise at some point. It certainly looks like they can make that sound...:D

Thanks for watching the video. Any comments on the fishing method or the video are most welcome.

Now why hasn't an engineer at Hobie produced an attachment to the mirage drive to do the same thing? :-P
