Father's Day
 

Hit the D&R canal this afternoon with my dad, brother and gf. Felt bad since im the only one who didnt get the skunk :p managed a handful of sunnies, a decent bow and one fiesty smallie all on trout/crappie mags. Phone died; couldnt take pics :/

I hit the Wilburtha Rd. bridge on the D&R Feeder Sunday at about 11 for a few minutes just to see if it was fishable again after all that rain. They don't stock there but the other spots were all filed up with families out free fishing I guess.
First cast I was rewarded with a nice rainbow on a silver rooster tail. Second cast same result. Nothing for a while then another fish on, this one was a nice calico bass. I thanked mother nature for a fine Fathers Day gifts. I left and went down to Upper Ferry Rd to see if any parking opened up and watch a guy battle a big carp for a while. His buddy had to get in the canal to get the fish out as it was to big for the net they had. They said it was good eating, to each their own I guess...
