So guess what hit monksville today and got the big ol' skunk...AGAIN! I think I'm at the point where I am officially writing this place off. So trip wasn't all that bad after a few hours of wasting time at monks we hit up greenwood and got into some great bass and slime dart action. Picked up about 5 LMB up to about 4lbs and about a dozen slime guys. Ill be getting out on the pompton sometime this week hopefully. Never fished it before but if anyones down for some after work fishin shoot me a PM.

Damn, that's rough place, even for the seasoned angler. A tough nut to crack but there are some MONSTERS to catch!!! At least you found redemption at GWL. Good job!!!

Must have seen you out there. We fished from 6am to 7pm. We moved 7 muskies but none of them got stuck. Not much action for 13 hours on the water. This lake is a pain in the ass but I still love fishing t.

Was that you guys fishin near the launch around 5ish? I saw a couple guys throwin some musky stuff. I put a few bigger lures on and got smashed in one of the coved but couldn't get a solid hookup. I was fishin from the green canoe so I couldn't do a whole lot of sight fishing but I need a long break from that place before I can muster up the ego to go back.

We fished that evil b*tch last night from 830-330am with literally no love. Spooked a medium sized Muskie in the weeds near the powerlines, but that was it! Good herring activity in some areas but not one hit or blowup on the usual Walleye stuff.

@skunkcity: yeah I really just cant figure the place out i even jigged the dam area with binskies, walleyejig tipped with worm, and live herring....needless to say not even a sniff. Ill have to go out there with a fishfinder next time to find the drop offs and ledges, but for now I just cant figure it out.

Bass Pilot, I think at 5pm we were still fishing near the basin. We didn't get back up to the North Launch until 6:30 and by then we were done for the day. We were in my buddy's Smokercraft.
