I have used it and don't like it. Just feels weird to me, hard to explain.

Love it. Thinner with more strands, casts well (fewer bird's nests) and some great colors :)

Here's Lep's write-up : . . . . I did give PowerPro Super Slick 8 a good workout over the past two months. My verdict? I'm not sure that it's as "nice" as Sufix 832 right out of the box, however, once the somewhat waxy coating wears off the working end of the line, it handles very well indeed. No "digging in" on the spools of my Abu 4600s or Daiwa Zillion and no "mystery breaks," which was my repeated unfortunate experience with the original version of PP.

I originally went with the 30lb PP/SS8, but had to reload with the 20lb as I found that (much as with the Sufix 30lb), I had a hell of a time busting off when hung up from my drifting boat. The use of 20lb main line and dialing back my B/S rigs to 40lb test Big Game (from 50), made my life much easier dealing with the whole bottom snagging dealeo. So I give it a 5 Shamrock rating - meaning, it's as good as is out there right now.

I use the 15 lb green in stained freshwater. I love it. Been using it for a year now and no complaints. It's nice to be able to pull up gigantic logs when you hang up lol...

I am a big FINS fan..... but after turning my head to Power Pro SS for a bit...... I finally tried it and I like it myself. Its different feel than we are used to seeing, but its pretty sweet!!! I guess I will now be using both FINS and PP.

Some guys do not like it, but I think thats out of habit.....we are so comfortable with what we always see that it becomes the norm. This stuff is pretty nice. Worth a try!!!! ( and I still dont use regular power pro, so that should tell you something).

Have it on one of my fluke reels and like it alot
20lb blue color. HAd humming sound with previous braid on that reel and the super slick eliminated the hum when reeling in bigger fish

Power Pro is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to braided lines.

I dont like trashing products, as a shop owner, but I understand why you feel this way. But, have you tried the new stuff? Their HC is actually pretty good as well. Dont know what they did, but the SS line is not the "usual Power Pro" we have all used. Its not the same thing.

Im not trying to sell it here..... not trying to get you to use it...... but just being honest for the guys who are curious..... its not that bad. I actually like it. But, if your a PP fan, you may not care for it, because its not the same line your using already. :)

FINS, has it all over similar companies when it comes to braid. They have bottom fishing line, surf casting line, they have taken braid to the next level, by making various types.

Just put some 20# on my fluke set up... Penn Battle 3000 on a Shimano trevala.. So far i have no issues with it.. I like it so far.. I dont really feel a difference between the slick and the reg power pro.. I have the reg on few other rods and it seems to perform just as good.. No knot issues.. And no normal braid noise while reeling in which is cool
