VT trip fly advice

This year has been a tough year for me to get out and trout fish, but finally the time has come for me to treat myself to a little VT trout trip with some friends. I will be going out with a guide on the first day up there since I don't know the waters and I am still very new to fly fishing. I was looking to see if any of the fly guys on here had any advice or intel they would be willing to share before I head up there. Anything special I need to make sure I have in my fly box before I leave?

If you are getting a guided trip on your first day, I would ask him.. Your paying for it... he would give you the best advice possible...

Where abouts you going..... some best kept secrets lie up in vermont when it comes to trout fishing.
