am trip ... not bad ... some fish ... got my limit & bonus fsh ... pool fish JD 17+lbs ... pm trip ... slow ... managed my limit ... lots of smaller fish ... pool fish 15lbs ... as always a great group of anglers ... thx to capt tom & richie ... :cool:

First of all, Congratulations on a great catch.

Not looking to cause any controversy here. Just seeking clarification.

Is it legally permitted to take two striper limits on an AM & PM trip ??
I always thought it was a DAILY limit of two plus a bonus fish if applicable.
Went back and re-read the NJ regs but it is not clear.
Anybody know the official NJ stance on this issue.
Not that I have to worry about catching 5 keepers in one day.....LOL.:) :)

Daily is 24 hours.....12:01am - 11:59pm.....whether you go out on a boat in the am and again pm, doesn't matter. But you can catch your limit and then some as long as your not in possession of more than your daily limit.
