SB Raritan report

Had a couple of hours to kill today so hit the SB. Turned out to be a good idea, first 4 casts got hit, one fish landed (decent brown) Set out a egg/butterworm combo bait and continued to cast the panter martin resulting in a couple more browns and a rainbow. Caught another rainbow on the bait set up. All but 2 fish released browns were ferocious today just slamming the lure. Did manage to catch one wild brown today, awesome looking fish, and gently returned to the water. Going to hit the D&R around Bulls Island Friday, usually once you see the browns that area heats up. Good luck out there

Was begging for a brookie, but wasnt meant to be . Never got a trifecta, never got a golden. Both on the list of "things to do in the raritan" . Drove over the 287 bridge this afternoon and saw lots of activity where the old damn in new brunswick was. Wasnt sure if it was shad guys, or striper guys but too far down for honest trout fisherman i think . must have been 6 to 8 guys fishing a very tight stretch
