3 mornings off report !
 

After 4 months of working 6-7 days a week, and 16 hour days.....it's safe to say that I have not done much fishing until 2 weeks ago. Most of my mornings will be free for a couple of hours before work, and I took advantage of it the past couple of weeks.

The good news is the pike fishing from my kayak......I have about 25 landed in 7 quick trips, the bad news is that I have only caught 4 over 30 inches, and all four were just over 30 inches. I have had a few encounters with a couple of real monsters, but without a picture in hand....it didn't happen.

The better news is that I had a great morning in Raritan Bay for stripers. I launched at 3:30 AM and fished for 4 hours, with about 15 bass landed up to 20 lbs and too many misses to count. I will be headed back out again tomorrow and hope to have as good a day as I had today.

Good to know your still in the game of fishing. I feel your pain with all the work stuff. Myself being self employed has its good points and obviously sometimes woking long hours is necessary. Nice Striper! Go get em!!!

I feel it too man.....2 boats and theyre both sitting this year lol. Beautiful striper dan, u got sum kahonees being out there in the yak. Must be nice to finally have some time to fish..
