SLOB Smallie & Some PIKE........
 

Headed out for a couple hours after work. Glad I did cause I found some decent action.

First hour was real slow. No hits, no follows, couple snags. :mad: Then for the last hour, it started to pick up. Not sure if it was the crankbait I threw on or just the time of day , but, soon after, I got 3 pike in a matter of 30 mins. Each one hit hard and fought well. When I hooked the second one, the lure landed, I twitched it once, and the fish EXPLODED on it top water style!!! Good stuff!!!

Moved on to another location and, after a few casts, got hit hard again. This time I was surprised to see a FAT smallie splashin around. Real nice belly on her. Don't think she could have jumped if she tried but she pulled like a beast!!! CPR her and called it a day.............

Thanx!! A little pregame for the m&g for sure, but not in the "field of play".

As for the smallie, when I was bringin her in it def seemed like she came up for a jump and just couldn't do it, lol......
