Calstar or Seeker Rod Blank

Looking at rod building components to have a fluke rod built. Considering the Calstar and Seeker E-glass blanks in 7ft. Input on either blank or preferences from those who use these?

Thanks!

I build a good number of Seeker E-glass blanks and there are several that are great bucktail blanks. What are you looking to do with the rod? Back bay bucktailing, in the channels, or out front in the deeper rough stuff? Are you going to be setting it up as a spinner or conventional? What bucktail weights do you plan on using the rod with?

You may want to take a look at United Composite Blanks if you will be jigging back. I just picked up:

70M 7'0" MOD-FAST 12-25 (rating) 1-3oz 6.0(Tip) .540(Butt) 3.13( Weight)

Thanks Adam for your response also..

Rod will be primarily for channels and rough stuff. Slinging bucktails from 1-6oz typically and looking to set up as a conventional. Wanted to go with Fast/Heavy model if possible.

You are going to have a hard time finding a fast action E glass blank, most are moderate. If you are looking for a fast action you are going to have more luck with composites. I would look into the Blue Lightning Inshore csw708 or cbw709.

I can get any blank you might want and also any of the components you need to build it.

Thank you for the input. I'll get back to you on the rod/components as I'm buying these for someone to build.
