stripers on hudson?

Does anyone know if theres been any stripers on the hudson river yet? I haven't seen any blood worms or sand worms in the bigger stores. Should be starting soon I hope.

People are catching schoolies, and some keeper size in Staten Island, and Bayonne, so I don't think they are too far off. Water temps are still below 45 according to the NOAA stations.

Going tomorrow to find out for myself :D

Crab House has been ok lately but was dead until 2 weeks ago. I would personally go a little further north on the west side of the river. I fish the river in these areas every day. If you want to know a little secret PM me. ;)

Tried the crab house 3/04, and got the skunk. Water was only 38f though... first time in 15 years im making it out for the spring run. Trying just north in the Palisades on 4/1. Hopefully I will have good things to report. :D

It's been quiet in most of the hot spots but there are 2 spots I know of producing. Schoolies up north but south of Bear mtn. bridge and south of the Crab House in Edgewater there is another spot that is starting to pull some larger fish. I haven't fished the spot down south yet but I will tomorrow or the next day.
