7 lb Trout stocking today!
 

I watched the Pequest crew stock 30- 7 lb trout in a small north Jersey pond this morning. It took the fish ten minutes to acclimate themselves and off they went. Too bad the pond is only 6" to 8" in depth and needs a good cleaning. They also dumped many smaller ones too( 6 or so net fulls.) NJ TV was there filming and of course caught me for interview. I'm gonna try to get one of those trout on April 6 if I can get close to the pond since I expect it to be crowded.Rammie is sweetwater fishing for now...the surf will wait, see 'ya all later

You could pretty much pick any goose poo infested slop hole we have here in Bergen County that is stocked and count on a few slobs to be dropped in during the first week:D :p

Whites Pond.

I'm naming it since it is public knowledge that it is one of the broodstock ponds/lakes this year.

That place is packed on ordinary opening days. With the big fish this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see seats put out on the shoreline the day before.

I did well at my local parks last year when they were "bonus" lakes. Hooked up with 3 breeders opening day and landed 1 monster brown. Not bad considering I went with light trout tackle expecting to limit out.........

Maybe ill take the ride, lol........

Anyone watching that video has just made there opening day plans.
Yea catch one of those and brag all you want but we all thats not trout fishing.
Drown a worm or float a shiners for a few hours and catch a fish. Yea that takes some skill.
Leave those fish for kids to catch.
