there's a chance that a fish will die every single cast that you take. sometimes they are hooked in the gills and bleed out, sometimes they get foul hooked in the brain and you reel in a dead fish (it happens, my buddy did it twice on one trip), and sometimes an angler takes them home. it's a part of fishing. would you prefer to see state/national/world record books and lists made illegal so that people have no incentive to target or keep record size fish? give me a break...

don't get me wrong, C&R is the way to go most of the time, especially with big predators like muskies... but giving crap for taking a world record fish is nuts
