Offshore Sea Bass Sunday - Space Available

Offshore
Giant Sea Bass - Jumbo Porgies Cod – Pollock Sailing 11PM Every Tuesday – Thursday – Friday & Saturday & Monday Presidents Day 2 – 6 Report - Super Sea Bass & Jumbo Porgy Fishing! Too bad NMFS considers our observations as “anecdotal”. If they would actually come out fishing on a trip or two and take a look at our fish scope, with readings of Sea Bass & Porgies 40’ thick under the boat and watch them coming over the rail, maybe they would realize how good the stocks really are. Today was another boat limit of Sea Bass and Porgies. There were still even a few bluefish in the mix, and one lost Pinfish that should be in the Keys right now. The water temperatures are 52 to 53 degrees offshore. This offshore run is probably the best I have seen since the mid 90’s when we caught sea bass offshore right into April. We only have three weeks left to the open season, so now is the time to go! One angler even caught two sea bass on one jig at the same time, one on the main hook and one on the assist hook. The pool winners were: Emory Nesbit from Poughkeepsie, NY with a 7LB Sea Bass, Paul Lagoda from Belmar NJ with a 6.5LB Sea Bass. Friday & Saturday have been canceled. The weather looks good for Sunday and there is still space available. The big Jamaica is scheduled to sail offshore every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday leaving 11PM the night before. We have also added a trip for Monday , Presidents Day sailing 11PM the night before & Thursday February 28th, the last day of Giant Sea Bass fishing for the winter. More photos at: facebook.com/TheBigJamaica We now have “Ventafish” venting tools available for purchase for those who catch their limit early and want to release the rest safely. They can also be purchased at www.boganmarine.com For our complete schedule go to: www.bigjamaica.com We are now taking reservations. 732-528-5014 Capt. Howard Bogan |
