Ocean Deeper Exploring
8 Attachment(s)
1-27-13 We headed out today looking for some of the nicer fish we generally see this time of year like I mentioned yesterday....It was cold,,water dropped alot since the beginning of the week..In the river it was down to 37 degrees..Offshore though it was perfect for what I was looking for...Surface temps around 43 degrees,,,one area had 45....But with the tide running up against the wind bringing in some nice clean water out of the Southeast,,,still cold but in the deeper water it was perfect for the Big Blackfish....We caught some Ling,,,we had I think one Cod,,but the Blackfish were ready and Hungry..Light crowd only about ten guys,,But most guys did have a limit of Togs,,some fish in the double digits,,,and some even had double limit of Blackfish...Eddie had the biggest fish he has ever caught,,check it out!!!!15lbs..his personal best fish..and he has caught quite a few..(first picture) and some of the many larger ones we snaggled today.One fish was twelve..few others 10 and 11lbs..

@Ocean Explorer
Great job. I might come on your boat on Saturday. I never caught a "keeper" blackfish but if the weekends look good, I might. |
