Florida in December 2012
 

I just returned from 2 weeks in Florida, I saltwater fished 5 times out of Jupiter. I found the bite very slow this year, a few mutton and yellowtail snappers, one small cobia, a few kingfish bite offs, nothing really photo worthy. In between saltwater fishing I started exploring the canals and swamp areas south of Lake Okeechobee, catching small bass and spooking alligators. Pretty fun ! The first day I did this I kicked up 3 water snakes and 1 water moccasin, so after that I traded in my water shoes for a pair of shin high rubber boots. The last day of exploring I came across "The Beast", he was between 9 and 10 feet long. Enjoy !! Tight Lines--Rich
