Musky/Pequest 11/18/2012
 

Hit two long stretches on both watersheds with two friends and had a pretty slow day for the most part--except for my one friend Eddie. I had two fish on the Pequest in the 1st half hour or so. Both were browns approx 15 inches. My friend Eddie nailed a comparably-sized brookie--maybe a bit larger--then nailed this beauty shortly after @ 9:45 AM. Fished taped out to 23.5 inches. Awesome creature. Nothing for my friend Steve on the Pequest.

Left around 12:30-1 PM and grabbed a bite to eat and recharged the batteries a tad. Off to the Musky now... I got the skunk. My friend Steve nailed a really sweet rainbow--lit up like a goddamn x-mas tree. Eddie nailed a thick brookie while Steve was unhooking his bow. That was it for the Musky.

Eddie's 23.5" brown was by far his personal best. There's been quite a few PBs for them this year--I feel like a proud guardian LOL!! All fish hit swimming minnows--yo-zuri pins minnows, Matszuo minnows, and the like. Kept the rainbow for the smoker (which was sensational) and Eddie kept his brown for the wall. NICE fish ! Were guys fishing at night, it seems really dark in the back ground ? FE once told me I can show you every spot there is and you still have to catch the fish. Very few "unknown" spots on the Musky and Pequest but it's your right not to tell ;)

Very true, Andy... And what good is a spot, secret or not, if no fish are present lol. I just did it b/c my friend asked. If you check out my other posts thru out the year, you'll notice that I didnt black any out.

I'm hoping to find a few more nice spots along those rivers as the year comes to an end... Heading back out tomorrow to do some sleuthing. Will report back if I have something to report :D

Wow another nice brown I cant seem to buy one this fall.Nice haul.
