Passaic for Pike but got Smallied....
 

Today I hit the Passaic from 3-5pm... Water was extremely low and very clear, slightly breezy cool air temps @ 58*degrees... I was fishing my top water poppers lookin' for Pike and nailed 2 nice smallies... 3.5lb and 2lb..... The 3.5lb smallie hit like a beast and at first I thought it was a giant pike in which I was disappointed to see it wasnt a giant Pike but then I got excited when I saw it was a slob Smallie...

Thats sweet as can be fer a river smallie....I'm not a pike guy at all....The only time i target them is SUPER early spring....So that smallie would have made my week.....I envy dat catch, especially on top;)
