Merrill Creek - weekend Pickerel

1 Attachment(s)
Ed fished Merrill Creek over the weekend with a large shiner on the bottom, 35ft down and landed this fattie! A 8lb 4oz pickerel. Not too far off the state record. This bad boy was released.

Good-size but it looks more like 5/6 pounds. Sure about that weight? Certified? I know they are boney so even though they look thin, they have weight to 'em. Either way thats a dandy fish. The 35' water level is also a eye opener. I've never caught 'em deeper than 5 or 6 feet.
