Party Boat Tuna Fishing Rail Position
Going on a Tuna trip off a head boat. I'm the second person to board the boat and pick my spot. I plan on chunking and jigging. Like to get some members thoughts on the position they would take as the second person boarding. Usually I would take a cornor in the stern but was thinking of fishing towards the bow. Thoughts??

I always take the stern corner.
Since PB's anchor during night chunking and the lines go out towards stern, I feel it's easiest to be sitting in the stern corder to control my line.. |

Definately take the stern. Maybe, if you are lucky you will have a wind against tide and the lines will be shooting off the bow.

Re: Party Boat Tuna Fishing Rail Position
Port stern corner up to the stern bit . If you drift you won't have to move as most boats put everyone on the port side to drift . Jigging above the chum barrel up current side . Down current side forward bit to bow to stay away from the chunkers . Sometimes the best laid plans change due to current/wind .
