Patriots Day Pike and Bass
 

Finally got my motor running again so, since I was off I decided to take it for a test drive. Hit the water by a 11 and luckily, the motor held up nicely, other than only having 4 of 5 speeds, lol.

First hour yielded a small pike and a BIG smallie that fought like a tough guy. After that the fishing really picked up. Over the next 2 hours I battled 3 25"+ fish, landed 2 and one did a self release boatside. First one actually made it easy on me and JUMPED into the boat!!!

For the last hour I managed another small pike and a dink smallie and called it a day. Off the water by 3. All in all, a great Patriots Day fishing mission. Last but not least, I would just like to say THANK YOU to ALL those that serve!!!!!!

Nice dude. I was out last night and got two decent ones. First evening in the kayak that I was legitimately chilly once the sun went down :( .

You couldn't be more right. Extended periods of high pressure get the fish pretty active. I threw the kayak on my car yesterday and probably won't take it off until it rains :p .
