Lucanus jigs and Tescata rods

Has anyone used these and had success? Does it make a big difference with their rod?

You don't need the rod to catch fish. While fluking around the edges of Ambrose, I caught fluke, sea bass, and sea robins on this jig. I made a purchase of Power Pro at the beginning of the season and Tackle Direct was including this jig with a minimum order. It seemed to work just as good as other jigs I have.
