WTB- 'Girlie' Rod and Reel
 

My daughter has her 9th birthday comping up and I want to upgrade her setup.

She currently uses a Penn Seaboy with 3.25 to 1 retrieve and a 6.5' Ugly Stick MH.

I am looking for a gently used setup for bottom fishing for her that will fit for the next few years.. We mainly fish for Ling, Sea Bass and Porgies.

Lightweight 6 ft rod with a 4:1 reel??

I want something with somewhat of a girly touch but it doesn't have to be pink.

We have 3 dfferent rods 6', general purpose that go for $110 ea. 2 are purple/black, 1 aqua/purple. nice looking sticks. We will throw her name on the rods. You can get a shimano TR100, or 200 for $72. Nice lightweight conventional reel.

My daughter has a Bogen stick....Enough "Girlie" (color wrap/name/mermaid) and a good backbone. FWIW. Tip broke and was fixed under "warranty".

Her brother has one too, and Dad has 3.

Don't forget the American flag, deal too.

I like Garone stuff too, to be fair, to another great craftsman.
