Passaic river

Went out saturday for the evening shift on the Passaic. Water was muddy and up a little bit but was at a good level. With the water visibility being so poor it took a while to find the fish. A whole lot of nothing until we moved our way into a couple shallow flats we knew of. We missed 3 and pulled in 2. One pencil and a decent 29 incher. Nice one man. You're right about the water being murky as sh*t over the weekend.

Ya i was surprised it was that bad. We tried the stretch by eagle ave or whatever it's called with the nice boat launch but it was real bad over there. For some reason the other stretch we hit which isn't far from there is usually a little more clear. Do you usually do good with pike on the pompton?

Been hitting it a lot more lately with all the pressure on the Passaic. Starting to find the better spots, but still have lots of exploring to do. Been doing alright though. I've caught maybe 10 there in the passed month or so.
