State park bass fishing

hit up a local undeveloped state park this afternoon, tossing a stickworm along the shoreline in thigh-deep water with my hip boots. Was working great and after clouds rolled in, once switched to a popper the bite was really on. By the end of the day i managed 24 bass, but nothing over a pound. walking out, a huge beaver was making giant splashes on the surface and i thought it was a monster bass at first :p.
