Spruce Run, 7/2
1 Attachment(s)
Headed to Spruce Run for another evening and landed 3 hybrids and 1 cat fish. Yuck, I hate cat fish.
All were caught on live herring, in 20 feet of water, while suspended 10 feet under a slip float. The first two were smaller, 12-14". The one pictured was the larger of the lot. |

Nice wiper.. Do you usually anchor or drift with the slip floats?

I was out again tonight, but I struck out. My set up was wrong because the current in that part of the lake shifted from what it was doing last night, and was flowing in a different direction. My baits were too shallow, but time did not allow for me to make a move. If I had known I was not going to hook up, I would have made the move. Yes, the lake is at full pool. |
Re: Spruce Run, 7/2
Spruce run is full, thats amazing for this time of year. Try trolling herring or bombers and rapalas.
