Got my hands on a classic today!
 

Purchased a BF Meek & Sons Reel today from 1905 -1908 era. These reels sold for over $35 back then and I now see why!! Talk about a super smooth reel and it was made in the late 1890's - 1915 !!!! :eek:

This thing is probably smoother than half the reels made today the way it sits right now. As a collector, I only heard of them and how well they were made, but to actually have my hands on one is another thing! :)
