well I know a few of those waters get stocked with trout, so the state is doing their part to help the pike grow :D

yes, there is a distinction.

Quote:

Location # Fish Fish/Lb. Total Lbs Avg. Length
Passaic River 9,715 194.3 50 2.8" 1.8-3.5"
9,715 fish between 1.8" and 3.5" with an average length of 2.8" for a total of 50 pounds of fish, or about 194.3 fish per pound.

Quote:

Passaic River 3,150 21 150 6.0" 5.3-6.7"
3,150 fish between 5.3" and 6.7" with an average length of 6" for a total of 150 pounds of fish, or about 21 fish per pound.

The two lines represent two batches of stockings. The first batch was a stocking of fry. The second batch was a stocking of fingerlings that were over twice as long and weighed over 9 times as much as the first batch's fish.

If combined, it would be

Passaic River 12,865 64.3 200 3.6" 1.8-6.7"
But as so, you lose the distinction between the two separate batches.
