North Branch Smallies

Hit the NB yesterday for a few hours with the wife just upstream from the RTE 28 Bridges in North Branch. STandiing in the river sure kept the heat at bay...it was a warm one. Caught about 10 fish between us... a few dinks, a few in the 1 lb range...the wife got one nice one a little bigger than that and I finished the day with a nice 3 lber. Fun fisning on light gear for sure. All were caught on 1/8th to 1/4 oz. jig heads with a Green Pumpkin 3 inch grub or 3 inch Senko rigged with an exposed hook. Water was little murky but not bad at all. Sorry no pics...don't trust myself with a camera while wading in sneakers....too slippery.

Re: North Branch Smallies

Funny how quickly they go from trout streams to smallmouth streams. Not complaining, smallmouth put up a great fight.

Thanx, I think I need to do float trip soon !!
