Fish ID
1 Attachment(s)
My friend caught this little guy in a private pond in Morris County on 5/11. It is the second time he caught one like this from he same pond. Any ideas??
BTW, I think we should have a section of [serious] unusual catches and fish ID's. I think it would be very interesting! |

Re: Fish ID
That's what my friend thought. They bite on lures?? I thought they were vegetarians. I think he had a whacky worm on when he caught it.

Re: Fish ID
Pike candy! I still have a few goldens in my bait freezer left over from last winter's ice season (of lack there of). They're not vegetarians, they'll feed on small bugs, worms etc...

Re: Fish ID
they get big around here too, over 10" no problem in most of the ponds that have them

Re: Fish ID
I have also caught these guys on a fly rod many times at a local pond
Always thought wtf is this! Maybe now I know. The ones I have caught were small to large crappie size. Hey, the fish bent the rod so...Yeah! |
